Kartra for memberships
An all-in-one marketing and membership platform: funnels, email, checkout, memberships, and courses priced by contact count.
What Kartra is
Kartra is an all-in-one for people who think in funnels. Memberships and courses sit alongside email marketing, checkout, and affiliate tooling, all priced by how many contacts you hold.
Who it’s best for
Course and coaching businesses whose growth comes from email sequences and launches, and who want one tool instead of several.
- Marketers who want funnels, email, and memberships in one bill
- Course businesses that live in email sequences
- Anyone replacing three or four separate tools
Who should avoid it
Community-led memberships, and anyone with a big free list who would pay for contacts who are not customers.
- Community-first memberships
- Newsletter, podcast, and video-library products
- Anyone with a large free list, since pricing is by contact count
Membership models it supports
Not every platform suits every kind of membership. These are the models we consider it a genuine option for.
- Course and community
- Coaching or group program
- Paid community
- Migrating an existing membership

Important limitations
- Contacts are the real meter, and free leads count. Essentials stops at 500.
- The $52 Essentials plan allows one membership and charges 5%, so it is a trial tier rather than a business tier.
- The community experience is thin next to a dedicated platform.
Data ownership and migration
Reasonable. Contacts and members export and you use your own processor. The lock-in is practical: rebuilding funnels elsewhere is real work.
